Damsel: The First Trailer For Millie Bobby Brown’s New Netflix Movie.

Millie Bobby Brown has swiftly established herself as one of Netflix’s most sought-after actors, thanks to her roles in Stranger Things and Enola Holmes, and the streaming service has yet another movie in the works with her as the protagonist. Here’s all we know thus far about Damsel, the next fantasy film.  Damsel is a planned fantasy film featuring Brown that will parody the “damsel in distress” cliche by having her heroine kill the dragon herself rather than waiting for a knight to save her.  Oscar nominee Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, whose credits include 28 Weeks Later and Intruders, will helm Netflix’s Damsel.  Dan Mazeau, who worked on Wrath of the Titans and other forthcoming high-budget films, wrote the film’s script.

Release date

Regrettably, Netflix has yet to announce an official release date. We will, however, reveal our release date forecasts. The film is still under production, and the cameras haven’t started rolling yet. However, we do know that manufacturing will begin soon. So, our best estimation for when the fantasy film will be released is late 2022 or early 2023. After filming is completed, the picture will require at least six months of post-production, putting the release date later in the year. However, post-production might take longer than six months, implying that the picture would be released in the new year. We’ll let you know when Netflix announces the official release date.

Storyline

“Brown will portray Princess Elodie, who believes she is marrying Prince Henry, only to discover she is being sacrificed to a dragon,” according to Deadline. The princess will be forced to battle for her life against the fire-breathing beast after her wedding preparations are rapidly wrecked, according to the tabloid.

Brown, if anybody is ready to kill a dragon, it’s him (who is also serving as an executive producer on the movie). The actor has a long history with fabled monsters, from Godzilla to the Demogorgon.

Cast members

Only Millie Bobby Brown is reported to be part of the Damsel cast as of October 2021. Brown is presently filming Enola Holmes 2 alongside Henry Cavill (after finishing season 4 of Stranger Things), and she also has The Thing About Jellyfish in the Netflix pipeline.

The status of Damsel’s production

According to issue 1265 of Production Weekly, Netflix’s Damsel was set to begin production in the first quarter of 2022. Millie recently finished filming the Enola Holmes sequel, which was completed in early January 2022. We can now go even further and say that filming for the film will begin in February 2022 in London, England.
