WhatsApp may soon let iPhone users send up to 2GB files
WhatsApp may be the most convenient way to chat, but of course not an incoming application if you want to send large files to your friends. You use a file to send files through the cloud storage application or only their telegram. WhatsApp can immediately iron the inconvenience. According to Wabetainfo, WhatsApp is testing the ability of the application to send files up to 2GB in size – something Telegram has offered a long time now. But the catch is that this small test is only done for iPhone users.
The latest WhatsApp for IOS Beta version 22.7.0.76 reportedly presents full support for iOS 15, but also shows that the meta-owned application also tests the ability to transfer iOS files up to 2GB on iOS. At present, you can send media files up to 100MB, which have been used to be comfortable but for years it changes to lack of applications because people now prefer to send files on messaging applications. In addition, rival applications such as Telegram have offered such facilities and which pressed whatsapp.
WhatsApp, according to the report, is doing a small test in Argentina at this time. Screenshot shared in the Show WhatsApp report tells the user that the iPhone application can “send documents up to 2GB size.” However, it is not clear, when WhatsApp will expand the launch of this feature. Whatever, whatsapp ability to send large files will definitely help people who have so far been brought to other applications to do so. At the same time, this could be bad news for the telegram, which, despite a strong rival, still does not have a mounting base such as WhatsApp. For people who use telegrams, privacy, and features such as 2GB file transfers are the biggest attraction. WhatsApp implements it is likely to put the dent in the telegram user base.
In other news, 9to5mac has noted that WhatsApp finally applies features that respect the iOS 15 theme. Among them is a new black design of the application where the taskbar at the bottom will also use the same color as the rest of the application. WhatsApp also reportedly working on two other main features; Reaction and compatibility of multi-devices 2.0. The first will let users send a reaction to whatsapp messages just like how they do it on Instagram and Facebook Messenger. Multi-device 2.0 compatibility, on the other hand, will allow users to access whatsapp on other smartphones using the same account and unlock the iPad application.
