Apple iPhone 14 reportedly getting a high quality selfie cam with autofocus and an appropriate price bump
South Korea’s publication Et News reports that the upcoming iPhone 14 model will integrate the CAM Selfie module produced by LG Innotek. This cams should be introduced to the iPhone 15 model, at first, but Apple experienced some quality assurance problems with ordinary Chinese suppliers and needed to switch to new ones to make up for a supply deficit. Apple also uses a selfie camera made by Sharp, and this will still be displayed on the iPhone 14.
The plan for the iPhone 14 is to integrate low -cost selfie cam, but due to quality problems, Apple has no choice but to switch to the LG Innotek solution, given the time limit. Cam LG is said to be of higher quality, almost compatible with the rear camera, and will introduce the automatic focus function to the iPhone Selfie Cams for the first time. On the other hand, this unplanned event costs less fees, because the price of a new selfie camera unit seems to be three times higher than the previous Chinese camera. The report states that the supply of Cam Selfie will be divided almost evenly between Sharp and LG.
This new development can be strengthened with a trench reportedly from the notch on the iPhone 14 model. While the iPhone 15 model is expected to display a full display screen with a camera below the display, this year’s model will most likely display a punch hole camera rather than a normal notch. Punch hole design can allow lenses that are re -worked with automatic focus functions and may even stabilize the image.
