‘The Sandman’ Netflix Series Sets August 2022 Release Date

The Geeked Netflix week is ongoing and one of the biggest announcements that will come so far is more information about the series anticipated by Netflix, Sandman who will come to Netflix on August 5, 2022.

For Sandman fans, it feels like eternity has passed since Netflix announced his plans to develop Mani Neil Gaiman comics into a live-action show in 2019. But now, the dream quickly became a reality. On the week of Geeked, Streamer gave us a new view of the show, and it looks noble!

While only short at 1:27, the teaser gives us a peek at some of the main characters and locations. We got the first sight of Mad Hettie, who tried to convince Johanna Constantine (Jenna Coleman) that the dream was out there. Elsewhere, we see a dream back to his territory, The Dreaming, where he was welcomed by Lucienne (Vivienne Acheampong). He knew that, without his presence, his kingdom had fallen. This scene feels like taken directly from the comic page.

Also, we can see some that are endless. There is a very short death shot (Kirby Howell-Baptiste), which may be a runaway character from all comic books. We only saw it for about one second, but from that, we could see that his appearance was very much expected. He wore sigil, ankh necklace. The arrangement in which he seemed to be a garden where he met a dream in his wings. Next, we see the wishes (Taman Mason Alexander) with their yellow eyes.

A pair of characters that no longer appeared also appeared. There is a criminal John Dee (David Thewlis), who is happy to hold Ruby Dream – which he finally uses to trap a group of innocent people in the restaurant and torture them. Then we see the Corinth (Boyd Holbrook), a nightmare creature created by Dream.

Visual in the teaser is truly amazing. Especially those who dream, which is a beautiful and beautiful castle bit that we know and love from comics. Well, except when we see it destroyed when Dream returned to his territory. While this teaser gave us some new photos from the show, it was just a date of announcement. Before the inaugural performance, we can expect a much longer trailer. This is just the beginning.
