Apple Watch 8 could include ‘temperature sensor’, no heart-rate on AirPods Pro 2: Report

It seems that the most significant increase in the Apple Watch Series 8 will be the insertion of a new body temperature sensor. According to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, this feature will be part of the Standard Apple Watch Series 8 and a new edition too. The last as the name suggests will be intended for those who participate in extreme sports, and are likely to come with increased durability to ensure better survival.

Apple is not released to bring this feature to the new Apple Watch edition, which is also expected this year. This is not surprising, considering that SE usually misses some features. The original Apple Watch SE does not have an ECG or the ability to monitor blood oxygen levels, which are present at the Apple Watch Series 6 and 7.Apple’s body temperature feature has been reported for a while now. TFI Securities analyst Ming Chi-Kuo also talked about this in the past. He said that Apple “worked hard to perfect the algorithm in the next smart watch that would allow users to measure body temperature.”

But, according to Gurman, it will not work exactly like a thermometer which means there will be no proper reading from the wrist. But it will remind or show whether someone has a fever. In addition, the Apple Watch Series 8 is not possible to include an increase in the main hardware. In fact, this processor is expected to be similar to those used in series 6. Even with series 7, Apple does not improve such a processor.

Apple Watch Series 8 is expected to come along with the iPhone 14 series. The report states that this year, the iPhone 14 lineup will not have a mini version. Conversely, Apple will introduce the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, and iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. While the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro will get a 6.1 -inch screen, Max and Pro Max will have a 6.7 -inch screen. Both iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will come with a longer A15 chipset, while the Pro variant will get an A16 chipset, according to several reports.

Gurman has also refused the rumors that Apple Airpods Pro, is also expected to be a heartbeat or body temperature sensor. It seems that Apple is still exploring the idea to introduce the two, and while they may appear one day, 2022 is not the year for this addition. As we have noted before, Airpods Pro will be increased, they are introduced in 2019. Apple is expected to improve audio quality, cleaning noise and bring spatial audio to this earbud.
